Meet the 2026-2027 Board:

Xia Pelletier

President

Xia is thrilled to dive into the role of the PTA President this year. As the proud parent of a first grader, she is officially surviving the afternoon pick up line and hunting down missing library books like a pro. By day, she works as an Information Systems Analyst, bringing tech superpowers and puzzle-solving skills straight to the PTA playground. When she isn’t wrangling spreadsheets or chauffeuring her son to various activities, she can be found relaxing at the beach with a good suspense thriller. Xia is ready to bring some fun, organization and teamwork for a fantastic school year!

Heather LaPlante

Co-Vice President

Elm Hill School

Heather has lived in Springfield for 25 years now. She is a preschool teacher in the district and has been teaching for 14 years. She has three children in the district; a junior, a fifth grader, and a second grader! When she is not at school, she loves to spend time with her family. She loves frogs, sunflowers and UConn women’s basketball; Go Huskies! She is excited to be co vice-president of Elm for the PTA! Here’s to a great year!!

Katie Erskine

Secretary

Katie grew up in Weathersfield and has lived in Springfield for the past three years with her husband, daughter and two dogs and two cats.

 Katie works for HCRS, where she manages a community outreach program within the Developmental Services Division. When she is not working, you will usually find her cheering on her daughter’s most loved hobby - dance! Supporting something she loves so much has easily become Katie’s favorite hobby as well.

 Katie believes that active family involvement plays an important role in a child’s success at school. She looks forward to continuing to help make a positive impact for our students, teachers, schools and community as a whole.

Katie Lacasse

Elm Hill School

Katie works as a preschool paraprofessional in the district and is a mom of two. She grew up in Springfield and went to school here. When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, and doing things outside. She is actively involved in the community and contributes a wealth of knowledge to the PTA team.

Sarah Krupinsky

Treasurer

A Texas native, Sarah and her family are proud to call Springfield home. This will be her third year as a member of Springfield Schools PTA, and her second year as Treasurer. In addition to PTA, Sarah works full-time in the Cosmetic Industry and serves as President of the Stepping Stones Preschool Board of Directors.

Nakita Raymond

Vice President

Union Street School

Nakita is a lifelong Springfield resident. Nakita and her husband have lived in their Park Street home for the past 6 years, and many people know it as the Halloween house! They have a son, Nolan, who is excited to be starting at Union Street this year. This is Nakita’s second year with the Springfield PTA and her first year serving as Union Street Vice President. She enjoys being involved in our schools and supporting the amazing staff who help our children learn and grow. Outside of the PTA, Nakita works full-time for the Veterans Administration, part-time at Springfield Hospital, and enjoys baking sourdough bread, gardening, and spending time with her family.
